Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of normalmap.io. By using the site you agree to these Terms.
The service
NormalMap.io is a free tool that makes normal, height, roughness, ambient occlusion and related maps from images, in your browser. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it is uninterrupted, error-free, or that its maps suit a particular purpose.
Your images and maps
Your images are processed on your own device and never uploaded to us. You keep every right you have in your images. Maps you make from images you own or are allowed to use belong to you, and you may use them for any purpose, including commercial projects such as games, renders, client work and asset packs.
Use only images you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for respecting the rights of others in the images you put into the tool.
Our content
The site, its design, text, code and example images are ours and protected by copyright and other laws. The example materials on the site are there to show the tool; please do not redistribute them as a texture pack.
Prohibited activities
You agree not to:
- Use the site in any way that breaks applicable law
- Try to gain unauthorized access to our servers or networks
- Overload the site with automated requests or scrape it at scale
- Use the site to distribute malware or other harmful code
Third-party services
The site loads program files from jsDelivr and, once ads are live, ads from advertising partners. Their own terms apply to their services. Links to other sites, including our own sister sites, are provided for convenience.
Limitation of liability
In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the site or the maps it makes.
Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms at any time. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page.
